Kind Words from our Donors
“SLAP is an innovative program that encourages the efficient use of laptops and tablets as an important aspect of secondary school education, and with merit, should be available to all.”
- Peter McLane, Donor - $320 = 1 Laptop
“I read about your fantastic program and the work you have done. I would like to donate funds for a laptop.”
- Anonymous, Private Donor - $320 = 1 Laptop
"While reading the news story about Gabriel and his project to fund laptops for students, it struck me how selfless it was and how special the idea was and would be to all those students who become recipients of the laptops… So, for me, it is just pleasing to note that by this small gesture, there will be three happy students in the near future who will have a laptop in hand and be able to proceed with their education… All the best to you and your group on this amazing and worthy project. I commend you for first recognizing and then carrying out the project. You are a boon to your fellow students, and I am sure you will also be special in whatever profession you choose as you move through life. All the best and well done.”

"My current laptop is more than eight years old and has become increasingly unreliable for coursework, research, and online learning requirements. Replacing it independently is challenging, and access to a dependable laptop would have a meaningful impact on my ability to keep up with my academic responsibilities.
I truly admire the thoughtful work you and your team are doing to support students, and I wish you the best of luck with the current and upcoming grant applications. I can only imagine how much coordination and effort this requires.
I also wanted to gently share my situation, in case it may be relevant for any future consideration. I am a graduate student, and my research work depends heavily on having consistent access to a computer. Having a laptop would make a significant difference for me, as it would allow me to work from home—particularly during the winter months—and reduce the need to travel to campus daily just to access a desktop.
I completely understand the limitations and the waitlist, and I truly appreciate everything you’re doing. I simply wanted to share my circumstances in case they are helpful in any prioritization decisions.
Thank you again..."
